stateside :: summer 2018

Nothing says summer like a long-haul flight to visit family!

There is a certain rhythm to expat living - and packing up the suitcases when school is out is a dependable part of that rhythm. For us, it's a 12-hour-direct flight to the Pacific Northwest.

plane presents = happy campers

First stop :: Ferndale, WA

Home of my childhood, this town maintains its tucked-away feel and chill vibe. Endless green-outdoors for the kids to binge on, and the best sourdough bread on the planet. But most importantly for us, it's home to alllll of the grandparents and some pretty cute cousins!

Daddy flew in to join us! Met up with more friends and relatives. Dasha, Gpa Jack & Auntie Rachel came too.

Last stop :: Sandpoint, Idaho

Usually we drive to Spokane to visit this crew -- but seeing as we are now too big to squeeze into their house and we'd be there over the fourth of July, we found a big 'ol house a bit further north to enjoy together.

 thank you, Audrey & Sarah, for so many of these great photos!!

Two-Week-Whirlwind -- and that's a wrap. It's time to head back. Good-bye for now, dear family and spacious land. Till next year....

  1. Good to have you at home, even if it was only for a short time. Also good to see all the cousins enjoying each other. Till next year!
