We go to Stanley at least once a week. it's where we get groceries, eat out, go to the library or post office and SEE people! It's the nearest "town" to our apartment complex.
That said, there is much more to Stanley than we've yet explored. It's an old fishing village turned urban boho...
This is the main drag near the water. Lots of restaurants, a plaza (groceries, Starbucks, shopping), and old historic Stanley Market. The market has cheap stuff mingled with really good stuff! It's a small labyrinth of stalls. More photos from that part later... Guess I was too busy shopping to photograph!
boat playground outside of Starbucks! brilliant.
We went to Stanley beach for the Moon Festival /Mid Autumn Festival... Which really means lots of lights and moon cakes. And a day off!
Grocery shopping... Fresh seafood and way too many rice options!
Bear's favorite restaurant is the local dive. Yep, that's right. A bar. With dark walls papered in tourist money, a juke box, views of the ocean, low wood tables and a very cool owner.
Walking around....
